About Vibes

 

25 minute sessions – The vibrations from the Powerplates result in a massive 30 – 50 muscle contractions a second. Your body is constantly having to stabilise itself as the vibrations help to work many muscle groups at the same time. This means that the Powerplates can bring the same results as a 60 - 90 minutes workout in just 25.

 

Increased bone density – Studies have shown the Powerplate machine can improve bone density without adding the load to the body, which can help the body defend against osteoporosis.  As the machine is kind on your joints it is suitable for all ages and abilities.

 

Our amazing members – aside from the Vibes experienced trainers our members have created a fantastic support network to help you get through your early sessions with continued support and encouragement throughout your fitness journey.

Hi, I'm Alexis, being a mum and living with Type 1 Diabetes spurred me on to my own fitness journey. I enjoyed it so much I decided to retrain as a personal trainer and help others reach their own achievable physical and mental health goals.

Hey, I’m Sj, I’m currently working towards my CES qualification (Corrective Exercise Specialist) I got into training as a way to get fit and stay healthy, but now it’s so much more. Exercise is my saviour mentally, physically and spiritually and I love helping others to achieve a life balance. I love to train, love to eat, love a glass of vino with my friends.

Hi. I’m Amanda. I’m a Level 3 PT with quite a few years’ experience, a black belt in kickboxing and an attitude of ‘Never too old’. At 50+ I realised I could no longer win in the ‘fast competition world, so I adapted my goals accordingly. Training in my 40s and 50s has been geared towards ultra-running and Ironman triathlon. I got my black belt in kickboxing at the age of 52.

Hi. I’m Stuart. I’m a Level 3 PT. After years working as a graphic designer, the urge to step out from behind a computer and pursue my other passion was too strong.

 

I have used gyms for many years, gaining qualifications and helping others getting fitter has been great.

 

You can find me in Vibes on Monday evenings, come and join in.
